Community Outreach

The VLP Financial Advisors team is passionate about being involved in our community and supporting causes that we feel strongly about. Throughout the year we engage in a number of charitable activities which includes our annual Fall Food Drive and quarterly volunteering. Read below about the causes and organizations we support through our VLP Cares initiative.

Mobile Hope

Mobile Hope provides support and emergency shelter to youth up to age 24 who are at-risk, precariously housed or homeless and empowers them to become self-sufficient and experience improved well-being.

In Q3 and Q4 of 2024, the VLP team spent time sorting donations and wrapping holiday gifts for Mobile Hope's Toy Drive. We also partner with Mobile Hope for our annual Fall Food Drive.

Adopt-A-Highway

VLP Financial Advisors participates in the "Adopt-A-Highway" program that is nationally recognized for its success in roadway beautification and cleanliness.

VLP Financial Advisors adopted part of Old Courthouse Road located directly outside our office. The team goes out and picks up trash and debris on the road several times a year.

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Greater Washington DC provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close to their hospitalized child at little to no cost.

The VLP team makes meals for families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Bethany House

During the months of November and December, our team collects and assembles care packages of supplies to be donated to the Bethany House of Northern Virginia.

Walk To End Pancreatic Cancer

Purple Stride is a fundraiser by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. PanCAN's mission is to save lives by attacking pancreatic cancer through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, and advocacy. The national organization is determined to improve the lives of those impacted by panbcreative caner by "advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowslege, and advocating for patients."

Wreaths Across America

Each year some of the VLP team participate in Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery to remember and honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
